Tarangire National Park Day Trip Itinerary

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and after a 2-3-hour drive, you'll reach Tarangire National Park. The highlight of the day is the extensive game drives throughout the park. Tarangire boasts the highest density of elephants in Northern Tanzania, with herds often numbering up to 300 animals. The Tarangire River ensures water availability year-round, attracting numerous animals during the dry season from July to October. During this time, you'll witness incredible wildlife sightings including lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, and various antelopes and gazelles. If you're lucky, you might even spot a python! The dry season is also a paradise for bird watchers, with over 550 species, including the majestic Masai Ostrich. You'll stop for a picnic lunch around midday, followed by more game drives and wildlife viewing in the afternoon. As the sun sets, we'll drive you back to your hotel in Arusha.
